Posted by: on Mar 5, 2015 | No Comments

Today I want to share a very interesting new crowdfunding project on Indiegogo. It’s called the Quell. The first pain relief wearable device to help to relieve pain. The Quell wearable seem simple to use and apply to injured or sore areas of the body. Simply wrap and snap the Quell around your upper calf with the electrode in direct contact with your skin. Now the next part of the technology really took a next generation leap in pain relief. The company’s Indiegogo pages states: The Quell is powerful enough to stimulate the nerves in the upper calf carrying neural pulses to the brain tapping into the body’s natural pain relief response. Endogenous opioids are then released into the spine where pain signals are blocked from your body.

I really think these guys have created an ingenious product with the health-care healing market which is a billion dollar that gives the Quell an  opportunity to grow and scale. This device definitely excites my technology meter sensor because it’s a new tech spin on a tried and true method of comforting sore or injured body parts. The Indiegogo goal for the Quell was $100,000 in 30 days, however in only 2 days the project has successfully took in $201, 042 at the time of this post. The potential is definitely in place for the Quell wearable to make in-roads within the medical and self-home healing markets. To read more about the Quell visit their  Indiegogo page.
