Are You Ready For The Neptune Smart Hub Platform?

Posted by: on Mar 17, 2015 | No Comments

Today I came across a new tech device on my Twitter feed. The product is called the Neptune Hub or Neptune Suite. With one computing hub that’s on your wrist at all times, and many other devices that are simply accessories for your wrist, Neptune Suite allows you to be the center of your computing life. I think it’s an ingenious idea of having your personal cloud operating through wearable and portable devices such as wristband hub, phone hub and tablet hub. To make the deal even more amazing, the Neptune platform comes with a portable wireless keyboard, dongle and ear plugs. I can really see the potential for this type of smart technology and devices. A few years ago I drew up a similar idea but nothing like the Neptune in style and connectivity. The promise is to get all six devices for $899, however early backers can own the entire Neptune setup for a reduced $599. This is definitely a challenging project to develop but if the company has secured or developed the hardware with the software is near complete mode I think it can delivery as promised for next year.  The Neptune Suite is currently on Indiegogo with a goal of $100,000 but as of this writing the campaign has hit $806,387 in just a few hours. Check out the Neptune Suite video below:

Neptune Hub
With a powerful quad-core processor, as well as support for 3G/LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC, Neptune Hub is the world’s first true personal computer.

Pocket Screen
Much like a mouse, a keyboard, or a computer monitor, the Pocket screen is simply an interface for your Hub. It’s not very smart, it doesn’t need to be. With a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen as well as rear and front-facing cameras, the Pocket screen gives you an experience that’s equivalent to a smartphone.

Tab Screen
With a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen as well as a front-facing camera, the Tab screen gives you an experience that’s equivalent to a tablet.

I live by the creed that new technology should be fun, exciting and challenging. I enjoy seeing innovators who take risk creating new technology and do  what others deem impossible. So I’m really excited to see what the Neptune Hub/Suite can accomplish. The Neptune Company is scheduling the Neptune Suite for delivery next February 2016.You can visit the Neptune Suite Indiegogo page here.
