Posted by: on Jun 13, 2016 | No Comments

Good morning, because today started with the news of Microsoft to acquire LinkedIn for a whopping $26.2 billion all cash deal. This deal will be Microsoft’s biggest acquisition to date. This is truly a game changing deal for the tech giant and how it will affect both companies moving forward is unknown. This deal will help Microsoft establish itself in the social network eco-system but more importantly this gives Microsoft direct access to its target customer’s points with LinkedIn being the social network for professional.

I’m surprise no other company didn’t jump on LinkedIn sooner. LinkedIn stock is up 47% and Microsoft stock is up 8% based on reports emerging this morning. LinkedIn will be a great new source of growth of revenue and users to help  Microsoft offer service related products and service to professional business customer that LinkedIn have within its network. I’m curious to see how this deal will move forward and how it will change the social landscape in the near future.
