Today Universal Studios released the first trailer for the new Steve Jobs film based on Walter Isaacson’s biography Steve Jobs. The film will be released on October 9, 2015, four days after the anniversary of his death. The film stars, Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Seth Rogan as Steve Wozniak and Kate Winslet as Mac engineer Joanna Hoffman and Jeff Daniels as John Sculley. I’m a big Steve Jobs fan, so I’m curious to see what director Danny Boyle take will be on the iconic  Leader and Founder of Apple in this new film .

The Universal Studios Press Release states, “Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, STEVE JOBS takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.”

The 2013 film titled “Jobs” staring Ashton Kutcher wasn’t a big success with critics or fans. The Jobs film only grossed $35.9 million worldwide with many bad reviews of the film. I personally enjoyed the Ashton Kutcher film but felt it didn’t dig deep enough, and failed to let us explore and follow along with the creation of the Apple Iphone. I hope the 2015 film with Fassbender can deliver where the 2013 film failed. With all that said, I will be in theaters October 9, 2015 to see the latest Steve Jobs film.
