Interstellar is a 2014 science-fiction adventure film directed by Christopher Nolan. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine, the film is about a team of space travelers who travel through a wormhole in search of a new habitable planet. The film grossed $132 million on a production budget of $165 million and placed second at the box office this weekend with Disney’s Big Hero 6 landing in first place.
Yesterday, I took a break from work to have a peak at the new movie from the thought-provoking director Christopher Nolan. Mr. Nolan is one of my favorite directors. I stayed away from spoilers and trailers to get a better movie experience during my viewing. I think that’s the best way to really enjoy a film. I can cheerfully say I enjoyed the film and some of the ideas and themes it presented regarding life, love and family. To be honest the film had me at wormholes, time travel and space. I only had a few minor nitpicks but overall I left the theater thinking about the themes and ideas presented by the film. Overall the film was entertaining and thought-provoking. If I had to rate Interstellar, I would give it a 3 ½ stars out of 5.
