Posted by: on Oct 12, 2015 | No Comments

Today Dell Inc. made a bold move to transform from itself from a PC business to an IT solution provider for other companies. In one of the largest tech deals this year or possibly ever, Dell acquired IT business EMC for a whopping $67 billion dollars. Dell paid $33.15 a share to EMC for the takeover deal which is pending closing until May or October 2016.  EMC is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, United States, EMC offers data storage, information security, virtualization, analytics, cloud computing and other products and services that enable businesses to store, manage, protect, and analyze data. EMC’s target markets include large companies and small- and medium-sized businesses across various vertical markets. (Source Wikipedia)

Dell Inc. is an American privately owned multinational computer technology company based in Round Rock, Texas, United States, that develops, sells, repairs, and supports computers and related products and services. Bearing the name of its founder, Michael Dell, the company is one of the largest technological corporations in the world, employing more than 103,300 people worldwide. (Source Wikipedia)
With the combine effort of both Dell and EMC this merge will create one a super company that has the ability to be an enterprise solution juggernaut. Dell said the company will remain private — for now. The complicated EMC deal will be financed with a significant amount of debt, while VMWare (VMW) will remain publicly-traded. (Source CNN Money)

This is indeed major news and how this bold move by Dell will change the landscape among other IT solutions and companies is yet to be seen but what I do know this is definitely a gamechanger.
