Charter Communications To Buy Time Warner Cable For $55 Billion!

It seems like another mega deal is on the horizon with the acquisition of Time Warner Cable by Charter Communications. The deal is suppose to be officially announced tomorrow. The Time Warner Corporation consists of three divisions; Home Box Office Inc. (HBO), Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and Warner Bros. This deal will definitely change the media landscape. The deal is rumored to be worth $55 billion.


Charter Communications is near a deal to acquire Time Warner Cable for about $195 a share — furthering its quest to build one of the nation’s largest cable TV and Internet service companies. The deal, valued at more than $55 billion, is expected to be announced Tuesday, according to a person close to the companies who did not want to be identified discussing sensitive negotiations.
